Our Bolivian coffee label features a Scarlet Tanager. Why a Scarlet Tanager? Well, they winter as far south as Bolivia of course! Another reminder of how taking care of local nature and global nature is one and the same. We don’t see these birds too often around our place, but had a sighting last summer. They enjoy hanging out in oak trees and their diet consists of insects, fruit, and tender buds, and probably coffee cherries in Bolivia!
